Hello everyone, welcome to the first issue of the TeamSC newsletter! Hopefully this newsletter will be a great way to keep in touch with the happenings of the South Carolina Etsy Street Team! Also I would like to take this time to thank everyone who is working hard to make the South Carolina team a success.
Guide for Newbies: If you haven’t already check out this thread on our team message boards. You will find a brief overview of what the message boards are about and how to get started with the team. If you’re still having trouble feel free to email me at rocknrollmcmama@yahoo.com or visit the Mentor Forum, we have members who would love to help you out!
Team Meetings: Team Meetings will be held the first Monday of each month at 8pm in the Virtual Labs on Etsy. We will also be having Meet and Greet Chats for new members (and old members too!) in the chat rooms on etsy. Check this thread for dates and times.
Weekly Contests: Now that I'm home from vacation and things are getting back to normal around my place we will be starting up the weekly contests again. Each week will have a theme, members will vote on their favorite and the winner will be featured on the Team Blog. Check out this week's featured artist: Whitney Originals! Next theme will be: The Great Outdoors- this is open to your own interpretation. It could be a certain color inspired from nature, earth tones, really anything that says nature! As always the rules for the contests are that the item must be for sale in your shop OR be able to be made for sale in your shop; One item per shop, if you have two shops you may post two items; and have fun!
Creative Challenges: This is something that I'm very excited about. Starting August 1st we will start creative challenges- meaning that there will be a theme and participants will create something to fit the theme. Everyone will have 1 month to submit their item. If you haven't already please go here to vote on your favorite theme for our first creative challenge. Once we receive all entries we will promote voting on our blog and try to get more people from outside our team involved. I think it's going to be a lot of fun, plus a great way to get more exposure for TeamSC!
