I'm very much looking forward to the New Year for the South Carolina Team. One of the first things that will be announced will be our Second Creative Challenge. The theme of this Challenge will be announced on Friday January 2, 2009. So keep an eye out on the team blog as all of the official rules and what the theme will be will be announced there. You will have through midnight on Sunday February 1st to submit your item. This challenge will be set up much like the Fall Challenge. Team Survey: Also I would like to mention a little something about membership. We no longer require members to post at least 3 posts a month on our private forums. I would like to encourage everyone to stop by and to participate in our weekly contests (which will be starting back up in January). We also post in the etsy forums, just search for teamsc under forums and you will find us. If you haven't already, stop by and say hi! We would love to get to know you! I will be sending out a team survey every quarter. It will be a short survey, and shouldn't take long to complete. This will give a lot of great feedback on how to make our team better and also it will help me know who is interested in remaining in the team.
Team Tag: Please make sure to tag all of your items with "teamsc". This is very important and it helps you as well as helps the team! It helps you because other teamsc members can find you better. I know a lot of us search teamsc when we make treasuries, do blog featurettes, and other promotions for the team. For example, if I want to do a treasury of awesome red items I will type in the search bar "teamsc red" and choose my items from that list, and you may have the most super swell red item but if it's not tagged with teamsc, it won't be included. It will be sad that it's not on a treasury with its friends. Don't make your items sad, tag them with teamsc!!!
The Coolest Thing Ever: Sandy from MorganAlexaDesigns and BeadDazzled created this total kick-butt tool that arranges TeamSC shops by category and then there are pictures and oh guys, you have got to check it out. Click here and maybe you can give some TeamSC Shops some love!
The member list on the blog and team page on etsy will be updated twice a month.
Tutorials for the Blog: If anyone has a tutorial they would like to put on the team blog please contact me via email or on etsy. I think that tutorials would drive a lot of traffic to our blog and would be a great way to promote the team!
Craft Fair: I also need to know if anyone is still interested in doing a craft show in the spring and if so, I will need some volunteers to help organize it. I've never done a craft show before so I need help! LOL.
Team Meeting: Our Next Team Meeting is Scheduled for Tuesday, January 6 at 8:00 PM in the Virtual Labs on Etsy. I hope to see you there!

A couple of TeamSC Rule Changes:
Changes to group participation rule: We no longer have a 3 post minimum for team membership. We do still encourage members to be active in the team by posting here, on the etsy forums, coming to meetings, and participating in contests and promotions. We will be sending out a team survey every quarter to get feedback on the team and also to make sure that everyone is still interested in being a part of TEAMSC. This survey will renew your membership with the team.
New Member Activation Rule:
New Members: When you sign up for the message board please put your etsy shop in your profile. We had a ton of spam accounts sign up for the board last month so I need to know that you are a member on etsy before I can activate your account. Accounts that have not put their etsy shop in their profile within 7 days will not be activated and will be deleted.
I think that about does it for this issue. I hope that everyone is getting a lot of sales!!!

A couple of TeamSC Rule Changes:
Changes to group participation rule: We no longer have a 3 post minimum for team membership. We do still encourage members to be active in the team by posting here, on the etsy forums, coming to meetings, and participating in contests and promotions. We will be sending out a team survey every quarter to get feedback on the team and also to make sure that everyone is still interested in being a part of TEAMSC. This survey will renew your membership with the team.
New Member Activation Rule:
New Members: When you sign up for the message board please put your etsy shop in your profile. We had a ton of spam accounts sign up for the board last month so I need to know that you are a member on etsy before I can activate your account. Accounts that have not put their etsy shop in their profile within 7 days will not be activated and will be deleted.
I think that about does it for this issue. I hope that everyone is getting a lot of sales!!!

Boo! Welcome to the October edition of the TeamSC Newsletter.
We're about to have a huge promotion coming up The Holiday Stocking Hunt! We've had some great items donated but we still need your help! We still need members to volunteer to put the stocking image in their shops. To find information on the stocking hunt please go here. Also please promote the hunt on your blogs, web pages, shop announcements, ect. You can find promotional materials here including pictures of the stocking and teaser images of the prizes.

Is everyone ready for Fall? Ready or not here it comes! The team is doing some really fun things for fall and I hope you join us!
Fall Challenge: The Fall Challenge is going on NOW! We have 16 fantastic entries, you can vote for your favorite on the Team Blog. The winner will be featured in a special space on the team blog for the month of October and will also be featured in this newsletter next month. Non-TeamSC members can enter a chance to win a personalized gift if they post a comment on the blog with their email address or etsy username, so tell your friends! Voting will go through next Wednesday September 24th. Also we need to try to keep our thread in the promotions forum bumped to get more Etsians to the blog to vote.
Holiday Stocking Hunt: The TeamSC Holiday Stocking Hunt will begin on November 6th. Please check the message board if you would like to Donate and Item to the stocking, donate a shopping spree or to find promotional items. Items need to be mailed to CurlyfrySC by October 10th. Also CurlyfrySC needs to know that you are donating an item by October 1st. This is going to bring a lot of exposure to our team and I hope that everyone will participate, it's going to be fun too!
Weekly Challenges: If you haven't taken part in our weekly challenges now is a great time to start. For the next three weeks we are going to have Halloween/Spooky themed challenges that will be featured on the blog for the month of October. This week's theme is based on the 7 Deadly Sins (your own interpretation whatever that may be!) Check the team message board for our weekly challenges!
Team Meetings: I will set up our next team meeting for Monday October 6th at 8:00 PM. I Hope to see you there in the Virtual Labs on etsy!

Volume 2- August 2008
Hello TeamSC Members, I hope everyone is having a great summer! Our team is having a lot of exciting things going on right now and some exciting things planned for the near future. We would love to have our members involved!
Team Meetings: I was so sorry to have to cancel last month's team meeting due to my father's heart attack, but thank everyone so much for the support and well-wishes. My father is doing much better and is now home from the hospital. We are going to try to move the Team Meetings from the first Monday to the first Tuesday of every month to see if we can accommodate more member's schedules. I will set up our next meeting for Tuesday, September 2 @ 8PM in the Virtual Labs. Please check the thread here for information about team meetings.
Weekly Contests: Our weekly contests are now running Monday to Monday to try to get a featured artist on the blog every week. The current contest is RED, so if you have any red items you will have through Sunday at midnight to enter! Check this board weekly to see our weekly contests, it is a great way to promote your shop through the team if you win! Check out the team blog to see current winner, Kim Winkeler Photography and next week's featured winner will be SCDiva. Congratulations on your wins, you guys!
Creative Challenge #1- FALL!: Our team's very first creative challenge is under way. This month's theme is Fall. Your item must be created specifically for this creative challenge and fit the theme of Fall. You also must be a member of The South Carolina Etsy Street Team to participate. We have extended the deadline until September 15th. Check this thread to find out what to do next as that will be posted VERY soon. We will not have another creative challenge until after the holidays so don't miss your chance to participate!

The Blog: I'm still looking for volunteers to write articles on the team blog. We need to keep the blog fresh! I wrote an article on my hometown a couple of weeks ago and would love to see more towns from across the state featured. If you do not see your shop's name on the blog or etsy team page please post a message to this thread. If you have already posted to that thread, your shop will be added shortly.

Hello everyone, welcome to the first issue of the TeamSC newsletter! Hopefully this newsletter will be a great way to keep in touch with the happenings of the South Carolina Etsy Street Team! Also I would like to take this time to thank everyone who is working hard to make the South Carolina team a success.
Guide for Newbies: If you haven’t already check out this thread on our team message boards. You will find a brief overview of what the message boards are about and how to get started with the team. If you’re still having trouble feel free to email me at rocknrollmcmama@yahoo.com or visit the Mentor Forum, we have members who would love to help you out!
Team Meetings: Team Meetings will be held the first Monday of each month at 8pm in the Virtual Labs on Etsy. We will also be having Meet and Greet Chats for new members (and old members too!) in the chat rooms on etsy. Check this thread for dates and times.
Weekly Contests: Now that I'm home from vacation and things are getting back to normal around my place we will be starting up the weekly contests again. Each week will have a theme, members will vote on their favorite and the winner will be featured on the Team Blog. Check out this week's featured artist: Whitney Originals! Next theme will be: The Great Outdoors- this is open to your own interpretation. It could be a certain color inspired from nature, earth tones, really anything that says nature! As always the rules for the contests are that the item must be for sale in your shop OR be able to be made for sale in your shop; One item per shop, if you have two shops you may post two items; and have fun!
Creative Challenges: This is something that I'm very excited about. Starting August 1st we will start creative challenges- meaning that there will be a theme and participants will create something to fit the theme. Everyone will have 1 month to submit their item. If you haven't already please go here to vote on your favorite theme for our first creative challenge. Once we receive all entries we will promote voting on our blog and try to get more people from outside our team involved. I think it's going to be a lot of fun, plus a great way to get more exposure for TeamSC!
